For one thing, at night without a flood light, I can't see much detail of what is going on. The flood light helps. This suggests that I would need more IR lights. For another thing, during the day if I zoom in on something the resolution is very poor. I can't make out a face. This suggests that I need more than 420 TVL to see people's faces.
